Shalom and Welcome!
Visiting a new community can often feel overwhelming. We want to help make your introduction as easy as possible. Therefore, we have created some helpful tips and information that will assist you in getting here and knowing what to expect.
Time and Location
Saturdays @ 10:00am
2948 Colorado Ave.
Santa Monica, CA 90404
Free parking is readily available along the side of the building, on Stanford Street, or in the surrounding neighborhood. Handicap parking is also available.
We're easily accessible by bus or metro, only a half-mile walk from the Bergamot/26th station on the Expo line.
Our congregation is family friendly and welcomes children of all ages, encouraging them to participate in various parts of the service. We also offer a Junior Shabbat program for children and nursery care for infants and toddlers. Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation is also available.
Although everyone is welcome however they are dressed, out of respect for Shabbat, most of our congregants tend to dress up. This usually means 'business-casual.'
Our services are a soulful blend of tradition and innovation. We use a traditional prayer book, with liturgy in Hebrew and English, and infuse our liturgy with music and joyous melodies. The service lasts around two hours, beginning at 10:00am and finishing at Noon.
Following the service, we invite you to join us during our oneg, where there is food and plenty of time to schmooze with other members of the synagogue and build meaningful relationships. After the service and oneg is our Torah Study, an interactive study of the weekly Torah portion, as well as other classes and activities.
